Blender pitchers can be a pain at times — they’re hard to clean and sometimes you feel like you can’t get all of the food out to serve it. There’s a clever little trick that solves both of those issues.
For many standard blender pitchers, the base can be screwed off fairly easily. That base fits perfectly on a standard-mouthed Mason jar, which you can then affix to your blender. Being able to mix and blend in a jar lets you store the leftovers, and detaching the base when you’re done makes it easier to clean. It’s great for making single-serving smoothies to take in the car, for example.
