I'm only 12 weeks, but an avid runner... usually training for marathons. Is it ok to keep running at this rate?

You might want to tone it down a bit? Idk. But marathon-level training seems a little extreme.
I'm a runner too and my doctor said as long as my body is used to the exercise and I'm not feeling strained it's OK... so I'm still running but I have slowed my pace a bit.
I'd ask your doc just to be sure... Especially so early on.
Yeah, I agree, ask your doctor because every woman is different and we all have different conditions, family history and our age. BUT, I will tell you I see this woman at my TKB (turbo kick boxing) class who is 8 months pregnant (I asked) and she goes hard in that class. Sometimes harder than I do! *insert me holding my head down in shame :-( * I have no excuses! And never underestimate the strength of a pregnant woman. Like my doctors said, "you're not sick, you're just pregnant." Our bodies were made for this! :-)
