"The best Mother's Day stuff is when it is a true surprise, when something organically happens. Not bought," says Curtis (with daughter, Annie). "Those moments, like the hard moments with your kids, often happen when you don't expect it, when you are vulnerable or when you are really busy. But when they do, when you actually connect ... that is a true Mother's Day for me."
