In 2006, photographer Jason Lee's mother was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. His two young daughters Kristin and Kayla were often sick with colds and coughs, so he couldn't always take them to see their grandmother, who had a weakened immune system. So he started a blog, KristinandKayla.blogspot.com, which would let his mom keep up with the growing girls and also cheer her up. "It kind of just grew from there, and, as the kids got older and crazier, so did some of the pictures," Lee told mom.me.
