Nearly five years after her daughter's disappearance, Jodie Borchert of Deltona, Fla., was reunited with her little girl, Cara Cox, after the girl was abducted by her father in 2009.
In August 2009, Borchert dropped Cara off at her father, Aaron's, house for his weekend visit. Borchert had legal custody of their daughter, and when she came back days later to pick up her child, both Cara and Aaron were gone.
That's when Borchert reported her daughter as missing.
Earlier this month, however, a tip led investigators to Hildalgo, Mexico, which is about two hours outside of Mexico City. U.S. and Mexican authorities found Aaron and Cara living there in a remote area under assumed names. While Aaron was arrested, a passport was issued to Cara so that she could be reunited with her mom.
