Abraham Lincoln is best known for abolishing slavery and steering the country toward a resolution during the brutal Civil War. But at home, Honest Abe was a total sucker for his two young sons, Willie and Tad. The boys were just 10 and 7 when the Lincolns moved into the White House in 1861 and it seems that dear old dad indulged in their every whim — and laughed off many of their wild shenanigans.
Just one of the many ways the Lincoln boys terrorized the White House staff? The time little Tad fired his toy cannon at the door of the Cabinet room, while Dad was having a very important meeting inside. (How embarrassing.)
