Tristan Saghin’s parents weren’t thrilled that their 9-year-old son’s favorite film was the R-rated Black Hawk Down. Nevertheless, ever since Tristan saved his little sister using information gleaned from the movie, they’ve changed their tune. The Saghins were visiting their grandmother in Arizona when 2-year-old Brooke went missing.
She was found floating facedown in the backyard pool. She’d been submerged for a few minutes and wasn’t breathing. As the adults called 9-1-1, Tristan began performing CPR, which he had learned from watching a scene in Black Hawk Down. Within minutes Brooke was breathing. When Producer Jerry Bruckheimer caught wind of Tristan’s heroic deed, he sent the quick-acting big bro a message of congrats via Twitter.
