Really? How did you know that I like kale and he doesn’t? Don’t assume that because a couple are of different races that they’re going to have problems or difficulties arising from their respective cultures. In fact, maybe those "differences" aren’t actually obstacles but assets.
Try instead: “How have the two of you blended your two cultures?”
