At 8 years old, most kids have dreams that are years away from being realized. Your typical kid fantasy? Flying to the moon, maybe, or growing up to become a famous movie actor. But for a little boy from the Philippines named Ken, his 8-year-old hopes were a little more altruistic than that: He simply wanted to give a home to stray dogs in his neighborhood.
One year later — with help from his family and some very supportive neighbors — Ken has finally done just that. His family garage is now home to a no-kill animal shelter, which he has adorably named the Happy Animals Club. He makes sure that no puppy goes unloved or hungry on his watch.
