Been there. That said, I've had more "working moms" share how guilty they feel when they miss school events such as field trips, plays, reading group, volunteer time, etc. The really nice working moms thank the SAHM for helping out and caring for their children. And do you know how the really nice SAHM respond? We thank them for recognizing the work of ALL moms, both working at SAHM--we must stick together for one another and the children!

I agree, STD's are serious, however I would hesitate to jump to conclusions. I would casually mention, "Oh hey, I saw Joe at Spago's on Wednesday evening. He looks great." Then, wait for her reaction.

Seriously?! Have you, two, completely lost your minds? Personally, I do not know of one stay at home mom who chooses to shop, then return said items, watch tv all day or lounge around. My daughters have graduated college, one is married and expecting our first grandchild, the other works full time and lives home to save money for a house. My expectant daughter and son-in-law consider it both a luxury and a dream that I will be a hands on Nana, as well as additional support as they begin their new adventure. By the way, I will whip up a dish from scratch as easily as I will install a new hardwood floor, design/sew the most amazing costumes. construct a house, design gardens, cross stitch, listen to your life concerns without judgment and offer you smiles and laughter.
