In September of 2013 police arrested the Lyndhurst, N.J., PTA president for an extensive program of embezzlement. Gino allegedly opened a secondary bank account to funnel over $10,000 of PTA funds into, signing the names of other board members to checks and creating fake bank statements to cover her tracks, according to the Cliffview Pilot. She was charged with one count of theft and three counts of forgery. She had previously pleaded guilty to stealing $160 from a Lyndhurst Little League concession stand.
