Jessica Alba and The Honest Company Embark on Great Adventure

Summer might be winding down, but camp adventures don’t have to end—at least when it comes to babies and their diapers.

Jessica Alba, founder of The Honest Company, has teamed up with designers Emily Current and Meritt Elliott of The Great for a diaper line that features autumnal camp-friendly designs. Hitting stores today, as well as online at Honest.com for subscribers, the limited-edition diapers will be available to all Honest.com visitors on August 28.

“Emily and Meritt of The Great have been friends of mine for a few years now. I was so excited to partner with a brand founded by fellow female entrepreneurs to bring this collection to life,” Alba, who is pregnant with her third child, tells Mom.me. “They have impeccable taste and I knew that their classic style would be perfect for our newest fall collection.”

Current and Elliott, best friends who have five kids between them, tell us via email that they were happy to team up with Alba and The Honest Company not only because of the company’s “focused mission and innovative spirit” but also because of its love of design.

“This collaboration was simply seamless and fun. We enjoyed tapping into Jessica’s expertise and presented a fashionable point of view to something as simple, and necessary as diapers,” they say.

The diaper designs highlight fun and familiar imagery from camping out, from red plaid and bandana prints to hand-drawn animals and camp must-haves like flashlights and tents.

Alba, Current and Elliott celebrated the collaboration earlier this month with a launch party in East Hampton, N.Y., that benefited Baby2Baby, an organization that donates basic necessities to kids in need.

Guests included moms Molly Sims, Rachel Zoe and Baby2Baby co-founder Kelly Sawyer and their children.

And when it comes to camping with the fam, these moms are pros.

“My family and I love to hike on the weekends, so we always have sunscreen, bug spray, hand sanitizer spray, a hat and a water bottle,” Alba says. “When enjoying the great outdoors, sun protection is key.”

Current and Elliott agree, but add that parents might need to bring a little something extra.

“Think ahead!” they say. “Bring coolers of premade food, extra batteries, tons of blankets and a bottle of wine. Or two!”
