Removing Breast Milk From Clothes

When breast milk spills on your clothing, treat it with a laundry pre-wash, suggests Kathleen McCue, a Maryland-based nurse practitioner and lactation consultant with Bethesda Breastfeeding. “Typically, breast milk does not stain clothes, but sometimes after babies are given Vitamin D, they spit up a bit, and that milk might stain,” McCue says. Treating the stain sooner than later will safeguard your clothes, she adds.
