How to Label Baby Bottles for Storage

If you're pumping breast milk and storing it for later use in a supplemental bottle feeding, labeling each bag will help you use the oldest bags first. Label stored milk with the date and the time that it was expressed. If your baby is still in the hospital, also include your baby's name. If you've just started a new medication or have eaten a food that you think might possibly cause a reaction in your baby, note that on the label as well, advises certified lactation consultant Shirley Donato, RN, of Virtua Memorial Hospital in New Jersey.
