The chunky knit sweater is everybody’s favorite fall fashion
staple. Paired up or down, it’s accessible to everyone and is a must-have for
your colder weather wardrobe. Today, I’m
sharing how to style the beloved chunky knit sweater in five different ways. A
little something for everyone!
1. Dress it down.Way
down. Sweats have made a huge comeback onto the fashion scene this season,
which is something I can definitely get behind! The most comfortable pants are
all of a sudden considered fashionable and chic? Well, OK then. I’ll take it!
Literally roll out of bed and keep the pants and throw on your big knit sweater
and some tennis shoes and boom: You’re socially acceptable. Not to mention the
most comfortable you could possibly be. Gotta love it.
2. With some leather. Because everything is better when
paired with leather. Who doesn’t want to feel like a total badass? Pro tip:
Leather is the easiest way to make that happen. I’m loving a thick knit sweater
with a cute structured leather skirt and some chunky heels. The best part of
this look is that you can take it from the office to happy hour! Always a plus.
3. Winter whites. To hell with the saying, “Don’t wear white
after Labor Day.” That is so passé. Now, it’s all about breaking the old stuffy
fashion rules, and embracing any look you want. Wear a loose knit sweater over
a super feminine white dress and some flirty heels. Effortlessly chic.
4. Jeans and a sweater. Jeans and anything is always a good
idea, if you ask me. They send off a more casual vibe that is great for an
easygoing and subtle weekend look. If you’re feeling like making a statement,
pair with some killer heels and a bright handbag. And make sure to remember
proportions: the slouchier the sweater, the skinnier the jeans.
5. Oversized cardigan. I love a good oversized knit, and
when it’s a cardigan you can literally throw it over anything. An elegant dress
and some heels, a pair of distressed jeans and a tee with sneakers, anything
