Mom Totally Goes There With Glam Baby Pics

Sometimes having a newborn can be totally boring.

You haven’t showered, you’re stuck in the house and it’s super cold outside. You don’t have enough uninterrupted time to actually sit through a movie or read a book. That’s when you have to get creative in passing the time. Which is just what a new mom, who posts under the name "Unicorn Reality," did.

She took her baby from adorns to glam with the push of a few buttons.

Instead of just posting regular old “look how cute my baby is” images that 94 percent of the rest of the spawning universe does, Unicorn Reality went with a totally unusual and original take on sharing her infant’s image.

The new mom used a photo editing app called "YouCam" and played with the photographic image of her 7-week-old son Gabriel (aka Screamy). The app allows her to add such things as flowing blond hair, red lipstick and luscious long lashes.

The results? A mix of cute and extremely creepy.

Now, before you grab your phone and get child services on the blower, his mom defended her project.

"No makeup touched Gabriel’s skin, so don’t worry. He is a very, very loved little boy," writes Unicorn Reality. "I intentionally take/use photos of him pulling faces and gurning because I live to amuse myself."

If you can’t amuse yourself, who can you amuse?

Baby wigs, inappropriate onesies and posing a baby with a beer bottle have become parenting photo-op staples. Unicorn Reality just brings the “let’s play with the baby’s image” into this century by using apps.

Since posting the images of baby Gabriel over the Presidents’ Day weekend, there have been over a million views on Imgur. Yes, a MILLION.

The jury is still out on whether it became viral because it’s cute, creepy or because people just can’t get enough of photographs of babies.

One thing for sure, I wish this app was around when my daughter was a baby. I so would have done the same thing.
