Hot Moms in Romance Novels

You'd think by now that society wouldn't freak out when "mom" and "sexy" were mentioned in the same sentence. (But then again, who wants to think of their own mom as being sexy? Maybe I understand this societal regression now that I think about it.)

One of the biggest new trends of the last year is the popularity of romance books being read by 20-to-40-something moms. We relish in the fantasy of the character's exploits while taking time out of our days for ourselves. Immersing into the storyline of a book is one of the simple pleasures we moms give to ourselves. We want to believe the fantasy of the book is plausible, that some of what we read about can actually happen to us. Because if we can believe at least part of the good that's going on with the characters, we can believe in life's happy endings.

Reading about sexy moms and their happy lives is part of the fantasy-come-to-life we love. If she can do it, we can do it! I've compiled a list of some of my favorite moms in romance books who you will love.

Claire—The Chocolate Lovers Series by Tara Sivec

One of the funniest series of books I've ever read, The Chocolate Lovers Series by Tara Sivec centers around single, sexy mom, Claire, and her long-lost baby daddy, Carter. The two, along with their unbelievably hilarious group of friends, navigate parenthood and romance through their 20s while raising their foul-mouthed son.

Megan—Can’t Help Falling In Love: The Sullivans, Book 3 by Bella Andre

Once she and her daughter have been rescued from an apartment fire by hot fireman, Gabe Sullivan, Megan does her best to be a good mom while also falling in love with her savior. Megan's precocious daughter rounds out the love story with one of her own that helps Gabe undertand he is the man for their small family.

Elizabeth—Take This Regret by A.L. Jackson

Take This Regret should be preceded by its novella, Lost To You as it sets up the book's storyline. Having been left to raise their child on her own, Elizabeth succeeds in being a strong-willed, dedicated single mother. But when Christian comes back into their lives, the family of three has years of regret and forgiveness through which to navigate.

Rielle—Gone Country by Lorelei James

Rielle is the mother of a nearly-grown woman herself. With her daughter always nearby and a huge part of her life, Gavin has to win over both Rielle and her daughter. Because Gavin is a father and has a teenage daughter of his own, he knows how to be a good man to both Rielle and her daughter.

Emma—The Proposition & The Proposal by Katie Ashley

The entire premise of these books centers around Emma's desire to have a baby on her own. She finds the perfect donor to make her dreams come true in Aidan, a notorious playboy with no near future of settling. Though she planned to have her baby on her own with Aidan's initial help, the two find themselves navigating the trials of pregnancy and babyhood together.
