What was your favorite toy as a kid?
Mud and our backyard swing. I grew up in the city, but we had a nice size yard. We were outside playing every chance we got. We had a tree swing and a patch of dirt under it from our feet dragging back and forth while on the swing. In the summer we would fill the dirt patch with water and cruise on through splashing mud everywhere. If we were really daring, and my mom wasn’t looking, we would stand on the picnic table and go flying off to get some added height. I’m not sure why we thought we got away with it; we left mud foot prints all over the table. Oh what fun we had in the summers. I won’t even go into the mud pies!
