Movie Review: 'Shopkins World Vacation'

Parents need to know that "Shopkins: World Vacation" is the second movie about these tiny little characters/collectibles, which are based on grocery items (i.e., Strawberry Kiss, Buncho Bananas, Kooky Cookie). The Shopkins are joined by the Shoppies, their female human companions (i.e., Donatina, Jessicake, Bubbleisha). The toy line began in Australia in 2014, and includes games, dolls, webisodes and associated merchandise. There are dozens of collectible characters available, with more added as each movie or webisode is released. In this adventure, the Shopkins team travels to an assortment of international places, and, through no fault of her own, Kooky Cookie is in mild jeopardy. A few musical numbers are integrated into the story, along with some minimally suspenseful sequences that provide conflict but no scares.

Rated: NR

Running Time: 71 minutes
