Tens of thousands of Instagram users hearted Alyssa Milano's recently posted breastfeeding selfie. The black-and-white images shows the former child actress feeding her infant daughter, Elizabella Dylan Bulgiari, born September 4.
Milano, 41, posted the picture with a quote from Milan Kundera, Czech author of The Unbearable Lightness of Being. "Ah, the joy of suckling! She lovingly watched the fishlike motions of the toothless mouth and she imagined that with her milk there flowed into her little son her deepest thoughts, concepts, and dreams."
Elizabella is Milano's second child with husband David Bulgiari, 33. Their first, son Milo, recently turned 4.
The "Mistresses" actor's own childhood was also in front of cameras, though not the kind in phones. Milano was just 12 years old when she landed a role in ABC's long-running '80s sitcom "Who's the Boss," where she played Samantha Micelli. She also played leading roles on Fox's "Melrose Place" and the WB's "Charmed."
Many of her thousands of followers were touched by the image, leaving comments ranging from "you're beautiful" to remembrances of their own young babies. A few trolls made it onto the post as well. It is the internet, after all.
In addition to acting, the busy nursing mom is also a producer.
