Legendary singer, songwriter and performer Stevie Wonder welcomed his ninth child into the world Dec. 17, when his girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy gave birth to a girl, Nia. The (isn't she?) lovely newborn is their second child together.
Wonder announced the expansion of his progeny in November on ABC's "The View." He joked that the birth would bring the number of his kids to 22 before clarifying. "The truth is we're going to have a wonderful daughter, born in December, [and her] name is going to be Nia, which is 'purpose.'"
Wonder has been a father for almost 40 years. His first child, daughter Aisha Morris, was born in 1975. Her mother, Yolanda Simmons, was Wonder's girlfriend at the time. Aisha, famously, inspired Wonder's hit song, "Isn't She Lovely."
In addition to Morris and two children with Tomeeka, Wonder has six more kids from four other relationships.
Wonder has also been married twice, first to Syreeta Wright from 1970 to 1971, and also to Karen "Kai" Millard Morris from 2001 until 2012.
