When actress Scarlett Johansson gave birth to her daughter Rose last September, the "Avengers" actress had a very different picture in her mind of what her first-born would look like.
"When she came out of me," Johansson reveals to W magazine, "I was so surprised."
While the actress didn't elaborate on what color hair or eyes she was expecting, she did admit that her daughter is just a different kind of wonderful from what she had, well, conceived of.
"I had a very strong picture in my mind of what my baby would look like," she says, who was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the W spread. "And, of course, she is completely different. Perfect, but not what I'd imagined."
And although Johansson concedes that she has revealed a lot for her job—"Everyone has seen my breasts!" she tells the magazine—the 30-year-old actress has been mostly far tight-lipped about her personal life, with her marriage to French journalist (and father to Rose) Romain Dauriac kept under wraps until months after it took place.
As far as her latest role goes, Johansson describes the Black Widow character in the "Avengers" as someone who's a superhero but also human.
"It's hard not to admire her," Johansson says.
If you ask us, she could be talking about moms and motherhood in general.
