In "The Age of Adaline," actress and new mom Blake Lively plays a woman who physically doesn't age, keeping her 29-year-old looks for nearly eight decades.
The 27-year-old mom of daughter James (with husband Ryan Reynolds) sat down with mom.me, alongside co-star Michiel Huisman (of "Game of Thrones" fame), to talk family, romance and parenthood.
On how motherhood affected her take on the role, Lively says, "I'm super close with my mom so that's why this resonated with me, that storyline. So being a mother [myself] — yes, it's exemplified, but it's just an extension of the love I've already felt for my own family."
Speaking of family, Lively even brought along her niece and nephew, who might not be seen onscreen in the above video, but definitely made their presence known to Aunt Blake. (Watch the video to see what they got "busted" for.)
As far as what she's looking forward to as she ages, Lively again focuses on what matters most to her.
"Just seeing my family grow," she says. "That's the most rewarding thing for me."
A future baby brother or sister for James? We're all for it!
"The Age of Adaline" (PG-13) opens in theaters on April 24.
