Disney Channel has a new set of superheroes, and these kids solve mysteries while wearing their pajamas.
"PJ Masks," world-premiering on the Disney Junior block of Disney Channel on Friday, Sept. 18, features a trio of 6-year-old kids — Amaya, Connor and Greg — who transform into their colorful superhero alter egos — Owlette, Catboy and Gekko — when they activate special amulets and don, you guessed it, their PJs.
In our exclusive clip from the premiere episode, which airs tomorrow at 11 a.m. on the channel, Owlette is determined to find the Fairground Flyer train that has gone missing from the fair. But if she's going to take on a rival's new super train, she'll have to learn a bit of patience along the way.
Produced by eOne ("Peppa Pig") and Frog Box, "PJ Masks" is aimed at preschool audiences and, according to the release, wants to help kids discover their own "unique 'inner superhero,'" empowering children to use courage, teamwork and their imaginations to solve problems.
