It's hard to imagine how a child will react to finding out they are going to be a big brother or sister but this video, featuring 6-year-old Jake Dooley of Ireland, is the type of reaction any parent could ever hope for.
At first, he's handed a set of index cards to read.
The first one says, "I know you have been wishing and praying for me for a long time now."
The second one continues, "I'm sorry I took so long to get here."
Followed by a third card that reads, "But I am here now. Look at your T-shirt."
Adorably, little Jake Dooley looks at his own T-shirt before he realizes that his mom is holding one that says, "I'm going to be a big brother." Dooley tentatively asks, "You're pregnant?"
Cue the waterfall of tears. The little one proceeds to cry tears of such pure joy that even the most cold-hearted person would be unable to watch dry-eyed. We dare you to try and make it through the video without a tissue.
Turns out Dooley has been wanting to be a big brother for a very long time and sadly his mother suffered a still-birth two years ago, according to Today.com. The video, made to share with friends and family on Facebook, has gone viral. We couldn't be happier for the family or more grateful to share in their beautiful moment.
The new addition is expected to arrive in May and there is no doubt Jake will be one fantastic big brother to his new sibling.
