How 12 Celebrity Parents Do Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and it's time to get out of your funk and get ready for the big family feast.

Sure, you could watch a video of Martha doing kitchen magic, or flip the pages of a fall food magazine at the Safeway checkout counter. Or you could find inspiration from celebrity moms and dads, instead.

Here's a peek at how celebrities do Thanksgiving. They've got their own twists on turkey (from fried to spiced with jalapeños) to dessert (pumpkin pie to French Silk!). And while their skin is flawless, I detect they, too, are a little frazzled.

For that, I'm giving thanks.

Melissa Joan Hart

"Thankful for my Nanny's secret family recipe for French Silk Pie! I can feel her close to us, especially on these special holidays! #Family"

Not sure what Melissa Joan Hart's "Nanny" puts in her pie, but check out "The Pioneer Woman" Ree Drummond's recipe.

Spice up Thanksgiving dinner like Jessica Alba, whose family made not one but two turkeys. One traditional and one dotted with jalepenos. Check out her blog post on the topic.

Chrissy Teigen

"Tatoes!" Now that is a serious bunch of potatoes, especially with the bacon latticework. The model and mom-to-be is serious about grub. She even has a food blog called Delushious.

John Legend

To pair with his wife's potato bacon masterpiece, John Legend deep-fried a couple birds.

Snooki and her son Lorenzo created these adorable turkey cupcakes for dessert. Cute and delicious.

Christina Milian

"Taught @violetmadison about giving on Thanksgiving and everyday. Before we enjoy our meal at home with our family we volunteered to serve the less fortunate with #theIrvingMorrisFoundation."

That is a very tasty (to the heart) appetizer before their feast.

"Turtleneck, football and a deep fried turkey." He has his bases covered.

Miranda Kerr

Miranda boldly carves her Thanksgiving turkey, while wearing white pants (and with a toddler nearby). She's one brave woman.

The Rock

"When I was a 15-year-old, times were so hard we were hoping someone would invite us over for Thanksgiving cause we couldn't afford to have our own. We're a long way away from being that broke again, which is why big smiles come a bit easier these days. #ThanksgivingMemories #IGiveMyMomAndDadSoMuchCredit #ThankfulForTheStruggle."

The Rock, he has quite the spread.
