Depp-Amber Heard divorce is getting messier every day, with Heard alleging that
Depp abused her throughout their short and volatile marriage, and Depp’s camp
claiming that Heard is just after Depp’s riches (all of those bracelets and
skull pendants are apparently worth a fortune). But there is one vocal defender
of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star—his daughter Lily Rose Depp, who has
taken to social media to support her dad.
It’s rare that
kids of celebrities speak out about their parents, since they tend to distance
themselves from their celebrity upbringing and focus on carving out their own
identities. But there seems to be more than the usual number of celebrity kids
in the news lately willing to air their dirty laundry and make public
statements about their parents. It seems in Hollywood, the next “Mommie Dearest”
story is just around the corner.
story of the Depp/Heard split is still unfolding, you can’t blame a girl for
defending her dad. Lily Rose posted a pic on Instagram a couple of weeks ago
and called Depp the “most loving person” she knows. Along with the photo of
herself as a baby being walked by a doting Depp, she wrote, “My dad is the sweetest,
most loving person I know, he's been nothing but a wonderful father to my
little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same.”
looks like Kelly’s parents Ozzy and Sharon may have patched things up (or are
stopping the publicity stunt, depending on who you talk to), a couple of weeks
ago Kelly made a very public statement of her own about her parents’ split. The
“Fashion Police” panelist took to Twitter to out the hairstylist her dad
was allegedly having an affair with by posting her phone number and a couple of dicey puns. In a tweet
that has since been deleted she wrote, “Anyone looking for cheap chunky
LOW-lights a blow out and a blowjob call +1(323) xxx-xxxx.” Ouch.
3. Rocco Ritchie
her ex Guy Ritchie have been locked in a custody battle over their son Rocco
for months and apparently things got so bitter that even a judge begged the
couple to tone down their feud. But it culminated in April, with Rocco taking a
jab of his own at his Material Mom, calling himself a “son of a bitch” on Instagram.
It may have not been an original idea, though—Madonna allegedly called her ex hubby
a ‘son of a bitch’ during a previous onstage meltdown in Australia.
Lisa Bonet played the daughter of Bill Cosby for years on the "The Cosby Show"
and has stayed silent about all of the sexual assault allegations levied
against her former onscreen father. But that didn’t stop Zoe (whose dad is rocker Lenny Kravitz) from revealing her
mom’s true feelings. In an interview with The Guardian, the “Mad Max: Fury Road”
star said her mom was “disgusted” with the allegations, in spite of her silence
on the matter. “She’d plead the fifth, even to me. I think she’s just staying
out of it,” Zoe said. “She’s just as disgusted and concerned as everyone else
is, but I don’t think she has any insight. It’s news to her, as well.”
