Toddler Talk: Crafting With Nature

Crafting doesn’t have to be reserved for rainy days — especially when the best craft materials are starting to grow and bloom outside.

Here are three ideas for getting your toddler to craft with nature:

1. Nature ABCs

Toddlers are notorious for their love of all things A-B-C, which is why this ABC craft is always a hit. Start with a nature walk—gathering sticks, grass, and flowers along the way—and then practice tracing, gluing, and creating your very own ABC print.

2. Flower Prints

Then use any leftover leaves and flowers as stamps, dipped in paint.

3. DIY Animals

My little one especially loved this one: We used wood chips, leaves, and some extra paper plates to create an adorable owl.
