Island Tonic Green Juice

Green juice is all the rage these days, but it can be a drag to choke down if you're not used to the stuff. Many green juice newbies have a hard time swallowing their vitamins with the wrong mix of greens, or without any ingredients that help sweeten the juice to make it more palatable.

This Island Tonic green juice recipe gets a tropical kick from pineapple, which is chock full of vitamin C and Bromelain, a natural antioxidant that's great for fighting inflammation.

Pineapple juice also can help to relieve symptoms of menstrual cramps, regulate blood sugar and the synthesis of collagen, which is necessary for your skin's elasticity as you age. Ginger is known to have multiple antioxidants, as well as essential vitamins and minerals such as calcium, iron, vitamin C, folate and more. It's also great for warding off a cold or help alleviate a sore throat. Parsley also includes anti-inflammatory properties, chlorophyll, plenty of vitamins, and high mineral contents such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and zinc to name a few. Kale provides lots of vitamins A and C, as well as potassium.

This juice helps with boosting energy and maintaining clear, glowing skin.
