I am a huge believer in signature cocktails. Nothing makes your event sing like a crafty beverage that gets everyone feeling special and festive. Honestly I spend more time designing libations than figuring out what to eat most of the time. Not that I'm drinking most of the time, I'm just fantasizing about it. Wait...forget it.
When the holidays roll around everyone kicks into mulled wine mode and drinks tend to get milky and warm and chocolatey—not that I have any issues with this, it's just sometimes you crave something different. The refreshing zing of citrus and rum, the glistening shoulders of gorgeous pool side bartenders. What were we talking about?
So in the interest of something a little different than your average holiday cocktail, we give you the Christmas Colada. You may forget he's actually making a beverage, but you can watch and re-watch as many times as you like until you grasp it. I mean technically it's research for your upcoming festivities, so you really should take your time. Your guests will appreciate your attention to detail.

RECIPE: Christmas Colada
Juice of one lime
Juice of one lemon
Few mint leaves
Approx. 1/4 c coconut water
1 full shot sake
1 full shot Malibu (coconut rum)
1 full shot light rum
Agave to taste
2 shots pineapple/coconut or pineapple juice
1. Blend with or pour over ice, and garnish creatively. Or don't. If you have someone like that to follow out of the kitchen, you may not want to waste the precious time.
