Friday Cocktail: Pom Pom

This is a pomegranate martini with bonus points for being lighter, fresher and healthier. Why? Because it's made with real pomegranate juice versus a flavored brandy, liqueur, flavored syrup or other artificial flavor. Bars won't always carry the fresh stuff because of the shelf life of truly potent, healthy, nutritionally packed pomegranate juice, which can cut down on the profit margins. Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces citrus vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces diet ginger ale
  • 1 ounce pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 ounce light orange juice

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 10 to 15 seconds.
