Sometimes, I get ideas. And I'm all, "Hey, let's take a family picture!"

So, I get things set up. Find a nice background, set up the camera and try to dress my kids. I'm pretty amazing.
But my baby? He isn't going to play.

And my daughter doesn't want to match us. She wants to look fancy.
And OK. I want to look great, too. Because, I'm probably going to share this on Facebook and Instagram and I want to get me some "likes" and have people I knew in college saying, "She had two kids!"
So, I get us all together and I say, "Smile!" My family responds appropriately.
This is about when I start remembering the last time we tried to take a picture.
So, I get a firm voice and say, "GUYS, LISTEN TO ME! I JUST WANT ONE NICE PICTURE!"
And they handle that well.
That is when I start to bribe them with ice cream and TV if everyone will give me one nice picture. They think about it.
Why can't we look like all those other families on those other mom blogs, instead of how we actually look?
So, I raise the stakes.
So, we get our picture and it looks great.
