Being Friends With a Kid Who Has Special Needs
The other day in the car, JP, my 6-year-old son and I had a conversation about a boy on his baseball team who kept finding various ways to hurt JP while playing too rough. When we got home, I asked JP to help me recall our conversation on video. Our discussion focused on finding a way to stand up for yourself while still remaining kind and compassionate—especially when dealing with other kids who have emotional or behavioral challenges.
