Perhaps no star has been as candid about her infertility problems as Nicole Kidman, whose second daughter with husband Keith Urban, Faith Margaret, now 2, was born via gestational carrier in 2010. Kidman has suffered through several miscarriages over the years, including when she was with Tom Cruise in her 20s.
After having her first daughter, Sunday Rose, with husband Keith Urban in 2008, Kidman confessed to Australia’s Who magazine, “It has never been easy for me. I had tried and failed and failed and failed. Not to be too detailed, but I’ve had an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriages and I’ve had fertility treatments. I’ve done all the stuff you can possibly do to try get pregnant. Every woman who has been through all those ups and downs knows the depression that comes with it. So the way it just happened with Sunday was like, ‘What?’ The percentages were so low. It is the miracle in my life.” Two years later, Kidman, mid 40s, chose a gestational carrier to birth daughter Faith Margaret, now two.
