Warmer weather means outdoor get-togethers and an increase in food-borne illnesses. According to the United States Department of Agriculture website, we're more apt to get food poisoning in the summer, because increased temps allow bacteria to multiply faster (and we tend to get lax about food safety when preparing and cooking meals outdoors).
