Once motherhood arrives, a woman’s life changes—drastically. And it keeps changing. For me, every year brings more confidence. I’ve become more comfortable in my own skin, which means I care less about what others think of me. This stage of my life has been enlightening because as my kids get older and need me less, I’ve been able to figure out who I am and what I want. And that is drastically different than it was in my 20s and even 30s.
We asked other moms how they feel about where they are in life—from moving on after cancer treatment to turning 30 to that moment when you realize that your child is smarter than you are.
