Soak a cloth or paper towel in warm water.
Leave the warm, wet cloth on top of the glue stain for several hours to loosen the glue.
Wipe off the glue with a clean rag. Repeat the entire process as needed.
Avoid using warm water or warm tools on glue that is on clothing, as it can fuse the adhesive.
Soak the clothing in room temperature water for at least 24 hours.
Wash the clothing using a normal wash cycle.
Hang the item to dry. Repeat the process as needed.
Blot glue with paper towels or cloth. Lift the cloth straight up; do not rub glue into the carpet.
Soak a cloth in white vinegar.
Scrub the glue very gently.
