Creative Dad Turns The Beatles into Pancake Art

Washington dad Nathan Shields became somewhat of a viral hit earlier this year when photos of his breakfast creations made their way around the Internet. And as you might have guessed, these weren't just any old breakfasts, either. These were pure works of art—pancake art.

The illustrator, math teacher and part-time griddle master often cooks up the creative treats for his two pancake-loving kids. But it's not just because they insist on eating flapjacks constantly—it's so he can teach them a thing or two about the world around them.

So far over the last year, Shields has blended his love of art and cooking into lessons on everything from under-the-sea creatures ...

... to dinosaurs of the past.

(And each and every one of them totally puts our Saturday morning flapjacks to shame.)

Well, it looks like the creative dad of two is back and getting some renewed attention now that a time-lapse video of one of his coolest batches has gone viral. And we think it's his best work ever.

Behold, the Fab Four in batter form:

We don't know about you, but we're suddenly craving pancakes. And a listen to "The White Album."
