This week's happy hour drink uses mezcal, a liquor distilled from the maguey plant and a cousin of tequila. The word mezcal comes from Náhuatl words that mean "cooked maguey," which results in the signature smoky flavor of the spirit. One of our favorite elements of a great cocktail is when all the flavors are perfectly layered. This week's cocktail, The Smokey Bee, is just that.
