How to Remove Hard Stains in Clothes

Ink

Step 1

Spray the stain generously with hairspray.

Step 2

Let sit for five minutes, and launder right away.

Step 3

Check for any traces of the stain before putting the garment in the dryer as the heat from the dryer will set the stain permanently.

Blood

Soak the blood stain in cold water as soon as possible. Saturate the stain with white vinegar, and blot (don't rub) with a clean cloth.

Step 2

Continue blotting until the blood is gone.

Step 3

Rinse well with water to remove the vinegar smell.

Coffee

Make a paste with Borax and water

Step 2

Apply the paste to the coffee stain and let it sit for 30 minutes.

Rinse well, and launder as usual

Grease

Rust
