Happy Hour: The Honey Tart

The secret to any great beverage is in the balance: just the right amount of sweet and sour. This week's happy hour drink, The Honey Tart, gets it perfectly. The ideal mix of sweet honey and tart citrus makes it satisfying and refreshing. The best part? It can be made with or without alcohol, so it's just right for any occasion.

RECIPE: The Honey Tart

Yields 1 cocktail


  • 1/2 oz honey
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1 1/2 oz orange juice
  • Ice
  • Slices of lime (garnish)
  • 1 oz amaretto *optional
  • 1 1/2 oz white rum *optional


  1. Place all ingredients, with the exception of the garnish, into a cocktail shaker and shake for eight seconds.
  2. Strain into a chilled glass, and garnish with a slice of lime.
