Step 1

Create an all-purpose cleaner by mixing equal amounts of lemon juice and water in a spray bottle. Use it to clean the kitchen and bathroom without worry about harsh chemicals.

Make a wood furniture polish by mixing three parts olive oil to one part vinegar. You also can mix two parts olive oil and one part lemon juice for one that deodorizes.

Step 3

Cut potatoes in half and rub them over tinware and baking pan to remove rust spots. After that, scrub the pans with salt, or salt the potato half and scrub the pan to remove rust and grime.

Step 4

Mixing equal parts baking soda and water can create a super-cleaning paste. Rub on red-wine stains to remove them from, or clean stained glassware. You also can use this paste to shine and polish silver and stainless steel.
