How to Choose Lingerie by Body Type

Not every piece of lingerie looks good on every woman, so when choosing the perfect lingerie for your body type, highlight areas of your body that you feel most comfortable with. With these tips, you’ll find something perfect for your body and you’ll not only look sexy to your partner, but you’ll feel beautiful, too.

When choosing the right lingerie for your body, remember that you don’t need to look like the models in the pictures. If you’re comfortable with your shape, celebrate it; if you feel overweight, then choose darker colors and looser items. In either case, your wardrobe underneath it all should always fit comfortably and make you feel beautiful inside and out.

1. If your butt is your most prized asset, go for a thong or g-string panties so long as you feel comfortable. If you prefer some coverage, but also want to accentuate the shape of your booty, pair high-waisted panties or boy shorts for a simple, yet sultry look with the bra that fits your shape best.

2. If full breasts are your favorite feature, then show them off with pride. A balcony style, push-up or a corset bra will give great lift and add more cleavage, too. Be careful not to pair a high waist panty with a balcony or corset bra or it may cause your mid-section to look like a roll. The higher the waist of your panty, the skimpier your bra should be (or vice-versa).

3. If you’re tall, slender or have more of an athletic build (and less junk in the trunk), then definitely pull on the boy shorts to make your figure seem more rounded. Women who are thinner or smaller on top can pair boy shorts with a loose-fitting, short, silky robe for a curvier, sexy look.

4. For the shorter, full-figured or curvy mamacita, slip on a short or long nighty with a slit on the side. This throwback sexy look will divert attention up and down, hoping to see where the slit will lead. Less-clingy, flowing fabrics and a cut such as a baby doll or empire-waist chemise are perfect ways to help take attention away from any areas you feel less comfortable with.
