Matcha White Hot Chocolate

If you're not familiar with matcha, it's finely milled green tea leaves with a delicate, but strong flavor. Our brand of choice is Aiya, a delicious and authentic matcha green tea flavor. Preparing and whisking matcha to make it frothy on the surface can be a fun and wonderful experience when serving Matcha to yourself and a visual treat when serving it to your guests.

Whether it's a cold winter night, somber rainy day, or just an everyday morning, this version of the green hot chocolate will be sure to fill your cup with a sweet and flavorful matcha delight for all ages.

RECIPE: Matcha Hot White Chocolate

Yields 2 12-oz. servings


  • 2 teaspoons Aiya Cooking Grade Matcha
  • 2 cups Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • ¼ cup White Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Hot Water


  1. Melt the white chocolate together with ½ cup of almond milk. Stir until smooth, then add the remaining almond milk. Set aside.
  2. Sift matcha into 1 cup hot water and whisk until combined and frothy. Stir this into the almond milk/white chocolate mixture and pour into 2 mugs.
