Guess what? No matter how many ads, catwalks and television screens you've graced, having kids is going to change your body. That's the message that Cindy Crawford gives readers with the photoshop-free image of her that is appearing in the April issue of Marie Claire U.S. It shows that even former supermodels are just like the rest of us.
Crawford told the magazine in a February interview, "I try to be a good role model for my daughter in terms of just accepting myself, not saying 'Does this make me look fat?' or 'I can't eat that' or 'I'm on a diet.'"
As Metro UK reports, the unretouched image is from a 2013 Marie Claire photo shoot. The picture has since made its rounds on the Internet.
Pretending that any woman's figure, supermodel or not, can bounce back to its peak shape after childbirth is a perception pushed by the over-the-top editing that nips and tucks at images in the media. By letting us see her real body, Crawford makes a bold statement that needs no words.
