If you are anything like us, spring break typically, well, gets sprung on us at the last moment. In years past, our plan to get ahead and plan a vacation falls to the wayside sadly (that particular to-do falls to the bottom of our very long to-do list). Usually it's a quick glance at the calendar to see what is happening next week and then pure panic sets in: "Oh wait, you mean you don't have school for the next two weeks?!" Have no fear, intrepid mamas. In an effort to get ahead (mentally and physically), we've created our very own spring break shopping list on Zulily. Because getting stuck at the pool in a worn-out suit is not how we want to remember (or be remembered) on our vacation.
From flip-flops and totes to wraps, hats and maxi dresses, we've rounded up all the essentials you need to pack light and travel easy come spring break and break it down on their blog.
Not going away? You can still take advantage of the longer, sunnier days that are arriving shortly, no matter where you are. Don't forget to protect yourself from the sun, though, even if it doesn't feel that warm or strong. After a long winter of staying inside and hibernating, you'll still need to wear shades to protect your eyes and a hat to shield the delicate skin on your face from harmful rays.
Wonder if you can survive a spring break at home with the kids while everyone is vacationing in Hawaii? We've got your stay-cation survival tips here. You can still have a grand time, it just takes a little planning.
And don't forget, while this cold weather continues and cabin fever settles in ever further, a little spring break planning and retail therapy will do a mind good, no matter where you plan to go. Promise.
