Cut the avocado end-to-end. Press the blade of your knife all the way into the seed. Continue the cut completely around the seed.
Twist the avocado halves in opposite directions with your hands and separate the two halves.
Slide the tip of a teaspoon under the avocado seed and gently remove the seed from the fruit.
Hold one half of the avocado in one hand and, starting at the small end of the fruit, peel the skin back with the fingers of your other hand. Discard the peel and repeat the process with the other half.
