It's that time of year! Whether you're diving headlong into spring break activities or planning your upcoming summer vacation, here are a few must-haves that deserve a spot on your packing checklist.

As multitasking moms (c'mon, we all know who packs the suitcases!), we deserve to be as comfy as possible. Cue the cozy zipper hoodie, slip-on sneaks and cushy yet stylish headphones. (What's that? Bickering in the backseat? Mommy can't hear you!)

Speaking of kids, keep them busy with fun doodle books that also spotlight attractions in the city or town you're visiting. Keep your own thoughts in order with a travel journal that inspires and challenges you to explore (and record) roads less traveled.

And everyone knows that bringing the right bag is essential, particularly one with wheels that will colorfully (yet tastefully) call your name at baggage claim. Be sure to pack a fold-up reusable bag for grocery shopping or souvenirs.

Whatever you do, don't forget to bring backup. A portable electronics charger is a must, along with a travel adapter for plugs outside of the U.S.

Wherever you and the fam are headed — whether you're taking a short road trip or an hours-long flight across a major body of water — snacks are always necessary. Make your own granola bars or coconut macaroons, and ride off into that sunset that looks so different from home.

Bon voyage!
