Recently, a few mom.me editors packed up a Kia Sedona S-XL and headed into the mountains of Southern California to attend Camp Blogaway, a weekend retreat for food bloggers, where we taught a session about how to rock on Pinterest. Of course, many of our fellow campers were also moms!
We had a great time getting to know all our fellow campers, talking about food trends, learning some new tips and tricks, and spending time in the woods. And the s'mores! We can't forget all the campfire s'mores we ate, of course. We even had some fun goofing around and turning our minivan into a mobile office on the drive there...
Here are some of the awesome cookin' mamas we met at camp that you should get to know:
What you'll find on her blog: "I create short, informative — and sometimes funny — cooking videos. You can check me out on YouTube also. I have a YouTube channel: Average Betty." Her favorite kid-friendly recipe on her site:No-bake granola bars
What you'll find on her blog: "I obsess on all things food. I love to give food advice and talk about all recipes from all over the world. I think my specialty is exposing my children to foods from around the world, but I will say that I adjust recipes to make them less spicy and more approachable for their age group. And I let them try it first as I'm making it, so they know what they're getting themselves into." Vickie's kids' favorite recipe on her blog:Homemade macaroni and cheese
