Whether you're slowly finding your fitness groove post-baby or want to spice up a workout rut, a 30-day challenge is a great answer to both. Designed by Nichelle Gurule—a personal trainer, chiropractor and new mom herself, who specializes in working with moms—consider this challenge a "jumpstart" for boosting your strength, stamina and motivation.
Each day targets a specific area of the body with circuit training—a mix of cardio and resistance exercises that require the active engagement of the core. (Don't fret postpartum moms, your core strength will resurface as the month progresses, notes Gurule. Just do a much as you're able—with your doctor's blessing, of course.)
If you'd like an extra challenge at any point, you can turn each circuit into a HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout by increasing the number of rounds and giving yourself a time limit to complete them. The advantage of this is that it pushes the body to work harder in a shorter amount of time, helping you burn fat and gain muscle, says Gurule.
